The State Prison Record (Department of
Corrections) search ONLY checks the state(s)
that you specify. What if your background
information is incomplete and you do not know
all the states that the subject has resided in
within the last seven (7) to ten (10) years?
Worse, what if the subject has moved and is
CONCEALING a prison record in another State? This will not
show up in a Federal Prison Record
search, because they contain Federal offenses
ONLY, not felonies and misdemeanors at the State
level. This prison record will not show up in EITHER a State
or County record search if ALL the subject's past addresses
have not been revealed.
The US Department of Justice conducted a survey of prison inmates in 1991. They found that crimes were usually committed near the criminals' homes and that 43% of inmates were in prison for crimes committed in their own neighborhoods. If the subject is a criminal it is likely that a record will be uncovered when all jurisdictions where he or she has lived are checked.
It would be prohibitively expensive to search
the Prison Records of all 50 states. We have the
solution! We can legally search credit company databases
for past addresses based either on a Social
Security Number, OR their last known address. If
the subject has had any form of credit record
whatsoever, and virtually everyone has, then
this will reveal ALL their residences for the
last seven to ten years. THEN we can search each
of those states to make sure that NO Prison
Records are being concealed.

How to Check Past
Addresses:
Simply check the box labeled "Check Past
Addresses" while making your order on
our online system, and we will either confirm
or refute that the
subject has indeed lived in the states that you
have specified. You will be consulted by email
or telephone if undisclosed addresses
appear in the subjects record. It is your
decision whether or not to expand the scope of
the search to cover those geographic regions.
The "Check Past Addresses" Box
will appear on the first screen (Step 1) of the
ordering system, AFTER you have chosen the type
of criminal record(s) that are to be searched.
